Tommaso Shellfish
Tommaso Shellfish started over 15 years ago and is a small family owned and operated oyster farm that is nestled in the cold remote waters of Sea Otter Sound, near Prince of Wales Island, Alaska.
Tommaso Shellfish was started from scratch. Our timber floathouse was locally milled and built from the water up. Daily operations are managed by a team of 2 people (Jimmy & Katie), and we handle and harvest mostly by hand. We use a variety of gear methods to grow our oysters and it takes approximately 2-3 years of care for them to reach market size.
We aim to be good stewards of the sea and take pride in growing Pacific Oysters that reflect the pristine and remote environment of Sea Otter Sound’s coastal landscape and surrounding old-growth temperate rainforest.

Our Oysters
It's just pristine ocean and forest here. These plump, buttery bivalves are rich with a smooth salt finish.
They are perfect for any raw, deep fried, smoked or grilled half shell delicacy of your choosing.
So, whether you are hosting an event, own a restaurant, or just want to sit back and relax with family and friends. Anyway you shuck 'em, these oysters can be prepared for anything.
Our oysters are harvested from certified waters and lab tested (Alaska DEC) (AK#7844-SS).
